Private Duty Nursing is defined as continuous skilled nursing care provided by a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to a Medicaid patient at the latter’s home. Skilled nursing services are medically necessary, ordered by a physician to ensure patient’s safety and achieve medically desired results.
